Who are Young Associate?
The Young Associates (YA) is a group within the Los Angeles World Affairs Council comprised of young professionals and students under the age of 30. We offer additional programs for young professionals, with an interest in international affairs to meet and discuss issues affecting our lives and world.
What kind of events do the Young Associates have?
We organize events that speak directing our member’s needs, questions, and concerns. We also maintain a budget conscious approach when selecting venue, speakers and other event related expenses. Some programs in the past have hosted by Los Angeles Consulate Generals, Hollywood Film Directors, and Professors.
Who can attend Young Associate events?
YA events can be attended by members of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council (Student and Under 30 members), as well as, non-members. Members receive a discounted rate to events.

Annual membership dues are $30 for students and $55 for persons under 30years of age.
